I was lucky enough to discover Lauren through her webinars on Better Help. These amazing webinars helped me recognize things about myself that were holding me back from everything I want to and can be. I’ve learned how to be nicer to myself, how to better voice my own needs, how to calm myself and recognize when I’m in a self imposed state of fight or flight. Lauren taught me how to check in with myself throughout the day to make sure that I’m OK, instead of constantly making sure everyone else is OK. My life has changed for the better since Lauren introduced me to the concepts of perfectionism, codependency, boundary setting, and more recently, the inner child. I will be forever grateful that I discovered Lauren right at the moment in my life when I so needed change, peace, and compassion for myself. Thank you, Lauren; I look forward to supporting you as you launch your website and in all your other endeavors!

Before I met Lauren, I was feeling overwhelmed by my circumstances. I deal with unresolved childhood trauma, and have people pleasing, perfectionist, and codependent tendencies. I was also going through a very difficult life transition of a breakup with a romantic partner when I began therapy. Lauren worked with me on my healing journey through one on one sessions and through group sessions as well. She listened to me without judgement and I felt able to be open and vulnerable with her during our sessions. She offered structured goals, book suggestions, podcasts, and a variety of strategies to help me take control of my life. I feel much more confident in myself and my future after working with Lauren. I daily look for ways to put into practice new patterns I’ve learned that help me in my life now, while unlearning old patterns of thinking that no longer serve me. I can’t thank Lauren enough for everything she has helped me understand about myself and my new confidence in making choices for myself that support my goals!

Thank you so much for a great and eye opening webinar on perfectionism. I am so grateful for the work you put on your slides and your examples shared about perfectionism because it has made me realize why I have been feeling overwhelmed and why I haven’t been able to achieve work that I’m supposed to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

@letgowithlo you are awesome. Thank you for all that you do. I identify with all the perfectionist characteristics and love your information on how it affects me and why I am like I am!! Also the therapy and lifestyle changes and healthy coping skills have been amazing. I have listened to all your groupinars on Better Help. Thank you!

I’ve just managed to listen properly all the way through to the inner child webinar. It’s excellent. The second part on helping yourself to heal was especially useful. I’ve taken some notes, and found a picture on my phone. I have a journal ready. I’ve also (hopefully) saved it correctly in a folder so I can keep going back to it. The slides and information are very insightful, and I really think I will benefit from the advice. I realize a lot of my reactions are fear based, and I really hope to address this by telling my inner child that she is safe. It is overwhelming at times to realize how much your adult self is still looking for that safety from a relative that cannot give it...and I really hope I can give that gift to myself. Thank you.

I am writing to thank you for the help you so generously provide. It was because of your webinars and the tools provided that I stopped feeling alone in my pain and for that I’m forever grateful. I don’t know that this means anything to you, I’m sure you’re used to changing people’s lives positively all the time, but I felt compelled to thank you for making me feel like I was not walking alone and that has meant the world to me. Sending you all my good vibes.

I’ve attended several of Lauren’s webinars multiple times, and every time I gain more insight. Her style is thoughtful and genuine while being professional and well informed. Her series has opened me up to new ways of understanding why I’ve been so blocked in my life and provides participants with actionable steps to take. Overcoming perfectionism and codependency while establishing new healthy boundaries all come together when working with Lauren. I’ve learned so much about myself from her sessions!

I really learned a lot about setting boundaries in this workshop! The reasons behind why many people find it difficult to set boundaries and keep them were explained in a way that I could understand and begin to implement in my daily life in small ways and in bigger ways to improve my communication, and ultimately my relationships. Thanks again!

I follow you on Instagram. Each one of your posts is amazing and makes me stop and think. They go deeper than most IG posts and advice. I saw you had a webinar on boundaries and decided to sign up. I’ve been doing a lot of work on boundaries over the past year. My big takeaway was that having poor boundaries contributes to the “fight or flight” response. I deal with both ADHD and anxiety, so I know this response well. It made sense, but I had never considered that. It was a big “aha” moment. Thank you for that.

I attended Lauren’s live virtual event about boundaries and found it packed with practical, useful information. She gives good explanations of the different types of boundaries, why we need them, and how they help us maintain our authenticity and our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Lauren uses real-life examples of common boundary violations and gives possible scripts for our responses and for setting our boundaries in different situations. The class was very comprehensive, leaving me with no questions to ask when it was over. The presentation is available to watch again for up to 30 days, and the slides are available for printing. I highly recommend this event—it was well worth my time and money. I look forward to participating in future offerings from Lauren McCoy.

I have attended Lauren’s webinars on BetterHelp, attended her spring coaching group, and I like her Facebook page. Before finding Lauren, I was doing other therapies and I was continually feeling the draining effects of fight or flight in my body. I decided to attend one of Lauren’s people pleasing webinars. I connected with the topic and was intrigued by the somatic practice Lauren demonstrated. Lauren stressed that somatic exercises need to be practiced daily. I decided to try the somatic exercises that Lauren had demonstrated. At one point I was lying in bed having palpitations and feeling beaten again. I tried a somatic exercise, told myself that I was safe and wouldn’t you know it, it worked! I decided to attend her other two BetterHelp webinars, in which again the topics spoke to me and I tried some more somatic exercises. I learned as many somatic exercises as I could by watching Lauren on YouTube and Facebook, to see which one worked best for me. The butterfly one is my favorite.

I initially found Lauren’s teaching through a People Pleasing seminar. I stayed up late that night as I realized just how much what she said hit home. As part of my process to be more balanced, I enrolled in the “Boundary Bootcamp” event. Setting boundaries has always been difficult for me. The idea of “inconveniencing” someone else to accommodate one of my preferences was foreign and frightening. Lauren taught us that knowing and setting boundaries are how we best love ourselves and the way we let others best love us, Boundaries let us show up as our best selves, which brings the highest odds of creating meaningful and enduring relationships. It was a total reframing.
